Fall Colors Around Chicago

“Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower,” wrote the French philosopher Albert Camus.

Evening living in a big city like Chicago, there are so many opportunities to find fall foliage. In downtown Chicago, the best place to find fall colors is Millennium Park. The trees turn bright red and yellow and are perfect the those fall shots.

Mural Alley - Westfield Old Orchard Mall Murals

(Clutch and jewelry from Alicia Mohr)

I am obsessed with finding the coolest murals around the Chicago and Westfield Old Orchard Mall has so many all in one place called Mural Alley. What would have just been a plain and boring wall, they created something spectacular with this blank canvas. Mural Alley has a variety of murals to choose from. I can have my Instagramable moments while shopping at the mall and even take photos with what I found on my shopping trip. These murals have created a fun destination at the mall and have brighten up unused space.

Location: Westfield Old Orchard Mall (Mural Alley is in between Starbucks and Soul Cycle)

Photography tip: If you are going to take photos on a very sunny day, get there in the morning or later towards the evening. Otherwise you will get building shadows on the murals in your photos.

Jewelry and accessories are from Alicia Mohralso located inside Westfield Old Orchard Mall.

Poolside Barbie

Summer has come to a close and I will have to wait until next summer for my rooftop pool to open again.  I am lucky enough to have a rooftop pool right in my high rise so I don't have to go far to enjoy the poolside. During the summer this one one of my favorite places to come and relax. Summer always ends too fast in Chicago and I will have to wait until next summer for the pool to reopen.
